Leadership in medicine is an important part of a surgeon’s practice. Whether in the academic setting or private practice, surgeons benefit from leadership skills. Leadership is a core medical competency but there is little opportunity for this skill to be taught or reinforced. The Academy will host its second Leadership Seminar, May 4-5, 2019 in Rosemont, Illinois. Facilitated by Glenn Tecker, an internationally recognized expert in the field of leadership development, the seminar will focus on self-assessment and developing personalized leadership skills.
Members will be invited to apply early next year.
