AOAO Foundation Announces the Opening of its Newest Grant
By Gary Ulrich DO, FAOAO, FACOS
President, AOAO Foundation

Dr. Gary Ulrich

Despite the chaos that COVID-19 has caused I hope that you are well. Please ensure that you, your family and patients are safe, informed and supported.

That being said, the business of the AOAO Foundation continues. We have finalized the specifics of our first ORE-O $10,000 Grant. These details include the application process, timelines, criteria and selection process. The portal for applications is now open and available for submission.

In an effort to fund five additional ORE-O Grants, we are planning a fund-raising event at the Annual Fall Meeting in Austin, Texas during the exhibitor’s reception. AOAO members have been most generous to make this endeavor possible and I hope that we will continue the momentum. As the Foundation looks to alternative funding opportunities, we find donations from our membership that are at the heart of our grant funding success.

I am also pleased to report we have seven total submissions for the Foundation’s Research Grant. At this writing, the review committee is working on selection of the recipient for this $5,000 research grant.

Be assured that our Foundation Board continues to be diligent, informed and steadfast in the tasks at hand including awards, grants and scholarships.

I look forward to continuing to update you on the AOAO Foundation ongoing work.
