AOAO Foundation Report

AOAO Foundation Update
By Gary S. Ulrich, DO, FAOAO,
AOAO Foundation President

As our midyear meeting at the beautiful Terranea Oceanfront Resort fast approaches, I wanted to update you on the AOAO Foundation’s current projects and events.

At Terranea, there will an AOAO Foundation Charity Golf outing. Proceeds from this will benefit the AOAO Foundation. Please consider playing, not only to enjoy the great course but also to contribute to the Foundation.

At our Annual Meeting in Atlanta, the Foundation will be hosting a dinner event at the Atlanta Hilton (conference host hotel) on Thursday, October 18.  Once again, proceeds from this dinner will help fund Foundation projects.  Details of this dinner will be available when registration for the meeting opens in a few months. Space will be limited, so be sure to sign up early.  This will offer a good opportunity to socialize with colleagues as the meeting gets underway.  During this dinner, a Foundation update will be presented and any questions will be entertained.

Lastly, but most importantly, the AOAO Foundation Board is working to establish a research grant of $5,000. In May, the board will be reviewing the application process and eligibility criteria. This grant will assist residents in their scholarly research activity requirement.

I want to thank all for the support of the AOAO Foundation as we continue to grow.
