Sometimes we do things simply for the love of the game. Dr. Ed Armbruster accepted the role of Editor of The Orthopod two years ago without fanfare or notoriety. He didn’t pursue the job but he also didn’t hesitate to serve.
“I was asked to help and I accepted. I took pride in maintaining and building the high standards of the publication by those who preceded me”, he stated.
For two years he has quietly and efficiently performed this responsibility! It can be a lot of work reviewing and editing manuscripts. Writing is difficult and time-consuming.
Dr. Armbruster has set the quality bar of The Orthopod quite high! The Orthopod staff, the AOAO Board of Directors, and the AOAO membership owe him a round of applause for a job well done.
Dr. Armbruster completed his residency at UMDHJ-SOM (Rowan University) and hand fellowship at UMDNJ-NJ Medical School (Rutgers-NJMS). He practices in a large 20-person, private orthopedic surgery practice based in Hamilton, NJ.
He is married to Aby and they are busy with their children, Emilia,12, Mia, 15 and Jake, 17.
Dr. Armbruster is on the AOAO Board of Directors and has just assumed the position of Secretary/Treasurer.
Send him a note of thanks at earmbruster@mbortho.com.
