Welcome Aboard AOAO to the AAOS Advisor’s Circle
By Stacie Monroe
Senior Director, Political Affairs
Office of Government Relations
American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS)

As we head into a critical election cycle, our strong advocacy presence helps preserve our ability to care for patients. The OrthoPAC and our AAOS Office of Government Relations work tirelessly with hundreds of physician ambassadors to ensure the voice of orthopedics is heard loud and clear on the state and federal levels.

We have a long way to go to achieve PAC participation equivalent to trial lawyers or realtors.  Thus, we depend on not only “hard” individual PAC contributions but “soft” institutional and corporate donations to allow us to cover administrative costs and optimize our use of hard PAC funds.  Additionally, our soft dollars allow us to increase our political footprint and invest in state political opportunities.

We are so pleased to welcome AOAO to our Advisor’s Circle (AC) this year. OrthoPAC launched our very successful Advisor’s Circle in May of 2016, and has garnered 25 distinguished members and maintained a 100% retention rate.  As members of the AC, AOAO will receive incentives and special recognition.

We will work closely with your leadership to develop and execute a customized legislative advocacy plan built for the entire AOAO membership. These donations support our administrative costs and allow us to use our individual donations to the greatest extent possible. We are so grateful to have the AOAO onboard and look forward to a very successful partnership in the new year!
